Heritage
When you look out at the vast modern facility of the Johari Digital Healthcare headquarters today, it’s hard to imagine that the company began in a garage. However, it was in such a modest setting that Mr. Satyendra Johari, engineer and innovator, established the Company in 1979 to develop hearing aids, following his extensive experience in the U.S. medical industry.
In those days there was no such product line offered by the Indian medical industry. Johari emerged as a trendsetter by not only setting the benchmarks for a superior product but also by generating awareness in the market. When we introduced electrostimulators, we again pioneered the therapeutic and healthcare industry. Every new challenge served as a stepping stone toward growth. Soon we took the life sciences and diagnostics markets by storm in France, Japan, USA, Singapore and India with our exceptionally precise and impressive range of equipment.
Johari Digital Healthcare received its first FDA 510(k) clearance in 1989. We were among one of the first Indian manufacturers to successfully make a premarket submission without support from consultants. Johari has continued as a leader and in navigating regulatory requirements, and we have shared our expertise by assisting other manufacturers in making successful FDA submissions.
From our humble beginnings in a 500 square foot garage workshop to a 45,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, Johari Digital Healthcare has continued its tradition of bringing the most innovative concepts in medical devices to fruition. Today, through our strong network and resources spread across India, the USA and Europe, we are setting trends for future technology of the world medical industry and redefining outsourcing.
